This 3 pack of Sinful Colors nail art polishes were sent to me by Flowerfish Fantasy

From left to right they are Worn Before, Me First and Orange Alert

I couldn't wait to give em a try since I had such good luck with the Sock Stripes NOTD I did.

I tried my hand at a tribal pattern, since I've seen it so much lately. I think they turned out great!

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze - White on White.

Instead of the Worn Before, I reached for my Jordana - Fine Art striper since it matched better.

The details were done with an L.A. Colors art deco black striper, a thin tip sharpie and a dotting tool.

The Sharpie smudged a bit, but you could hardly tell in person.

Even better, the stripers are black light reactive!

Sinful Colors Swatches Compliments of Flowerfish Fantasy!

Lisa at Flowerfish Fantasy sent these 3 beautiful Sinful Colors polishes a little while back.

From left to right they are I Miss You, Daddy's Girl and Let Me Go

Aren't they wonderful?!

I Miss You is a sheer purple jelly with tiny silver and medium holo glitter pieces. I LOVE this color. It is sheer enough to be layered but is buildable enough to wear alone with a few extra coats.

Daddy's girl is a deep bluish purple with hot pink glitter flecks. It reminds me of the color of a black light bulb and has a glassy jelly finish.

Let Me Go is an iridescent pearly shade that changes from pink to peach to purple depending on how the light hits it. This polish really isn't my style but I do like the way it applies. It's not streaky like pearl polish can be, and dries really fast. It's a neat color in direct light.

BROKEN NAIL! =[

I tried soooooo hard to grow my nails out these past few weeks... They grow at an incredibly slow pace and always seem to split and peel before I get them to where I want them to be. 

By some unknown miracle I managed to keep them solid and healthy for a while and was really loving the length...

UNTIL THIS HAPPENED *Hysterical Crying*

I broke my left thumb nail while closing a car door.

I tried to use a patch kit but the break was just too massive to be repaired.

Be expecting little shorty manicures again... Itty bitty nails are hardly the canvas I need to do any sort of nail art, and fakes are just too damaging. 

Sorry guys! *More Crying*

What do you do to keep your nails long and healthy?

Super Easy Sock Stripes NOTD + Tutorial!

I was past due for a manicure a few weeks back, (yes a few weeks. I'm super cruddy at making time to post) so I asked my buddy Matthew how I should do my nails. He decided they should be striped like my socks, so here they are!

This was actually my first time using a striping brush. I was a little shaky, but even with my left hand it wasn't too difficult! This mani has inspired me to use stripers and striping brushes more often.

Here is what I did:

I started with yellow in the center.

I used Sally Hansen - Lightening

Added pink to one side.

I used NYC - Fuschia Shock Creme

Added blue to the other.

I used Sally Hansen - Blue Me Away!

And repeated the pattern until the nail was full.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

What happens when I forget base coat?

I told you my Peach Glitter NOTD didn't last very long because I forgot to use base coat.

I only kept it on for about 24 hours before it started peeling off in giant chunks!

Look at the size of these babies!

I felt so silly for forgetting...

As you can see, using base coat is extremely important...

Back to square one!
